If you loved 1942, then you need to get your hands on the sequel, 1943: The Battle of Midway, developed by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Like its predecessor, 1943 is a vertical scrolling shooter. Players will once again find themselves flying a World War II fighter plane over the Pacific. You'll have to go up against the Japanese Air Fleet as well as Japanese naval forces. You will once again be able to do loops and dodge bullets as an American hero. As you progress, you will be able to power up your plane. Shooting down whole squadrons of red planes drops power-up items that offer various enhancements. It doesn't matter if you're a history buff or a fan of arcade shooters; you will absolutely love this game! |
