Game Description
Abadox is one interesting scrolling shoot 'em up game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Rather than taking place in space like many shoot 'em up games of the time, Abadox takes place in the body of an alien. The giant alien being Parasitis has eaten the planet Abadox, as well as Princess Maria, and wiped out the entire galactic military. The military sends you, their best fighter, Second Lieutenant Nazal, to try and rescue Princess Maria. The enemies in Parasitis look like internal organs, which add to the game's overall charm. You will find different power-ups and weapons that give you different abilities, similar to the power-ups found in Gradius. However, if you lose a life, you will have to start from the last check point with none of your power-ups! This unique shoot 'em up is not for casual gamers, as the difficulty can be unforgiving at times. If you think you're a hardcore gamer, then you definitely need to think about getting this game! |
